Electrician Engineer E.R. Offshore
Necessary Qualifications
The Electrician Engineer shall, as a minimum, fulfill the demand for theoretical and practical training and education for the acquisition of his certificate as decided in the Flag State Authorities regulations, including international convention needs regarding practice and training. Additionally the Electrician Engineer shall go through courses or other form of training if required by the company. The Electrician Engineer must have good English speaking and writing skills.
- Operation, maintenance and repair of the ship’s electrical system and equipment, including the electrical part of the hydraulic system, also that this work takes place in a secure manner, including that the established safety regulations are followed (HSE manual).
- Making sure that the electrical system with related electrical equipment is in regulation condition.
- Making sure that the maintenance program for the ship’s electrical system and equipment is followed up, including the reporting of completed maintenance, completing of test reports, filling out E0-checklists, etc.
- Making sure emergency batteries are inspected and charged.
- Promptly reporting all accidents, near-accidents or non-conformities that take place.
- In addition to the above-mentioned general maintenance responsibilities, the Electrician Engineer is especially responsible for keeping the following systems in operational condition:
- Position indication equipment
- Remote Control System for cargo
- Radio Station (GMDSS)
- Shall make sure that all written and verbal orders given are understood and complied with.
- Shall participate in safety meetings and preparedness drills on board.
- Shall be familiar with all relevant work and safety procedures given out by the Company and by Charterer, and contribute to the implementation of these.
- Shall execute his duties in relation to the emergency preparedness manual when the situation demands it.
The Electrician Engineers are responsible for the above-mentioned, but their area of responsibilities is not necessarily limited to these things.
Electrician Engineer applicants for our Platform Supply Vessels- Minimum 2 years experiences as Chief Engineer on board offshore vessels
- Worldwide sailing experience (shallow and deep water experience)
- Familiar with Dynamic Positioning systems; i.e. Kongsberg / Rolls-Royce system
- Leadership personality with good knowledge and interest in human natures
- Readiness to pass a Competence as well as English Test as well as an interview
- Following training certificates would be desirable: DP Maintenance course
- Minimum 3 years experiences as Chief Engineer on board AHTS vessels
- Worldwide sailing experience (shallow and deep water – above 1.000 m - experience)
- Familiar with Dynamic Positioning systems; i.e. Kongsberg / Rolls-Royce system
- Leadership personality with good knowledge and interest in human natures
- Readiness to pass a Competence as well as English Test as well as an interview
- Following training certificates would be desirable: DP Maintenance course
