The 15 5,762-TEU Post-Panamax Class ships were taken into service between 1999 and 2002. They were built under the supervision of E.R. Schiffahrt by Samsung Heavy Industries Ltd. in South Korea.

The ships have up to 650 reefer container connection points. The nearly 55,000 kW MAN B&W 12 K 90 MC main engine can reach a service speed of over 26 knots.

Post-Panamax container ships mainly serve the high-volume East-West routes between Europe and the Far East and between the Far East and the western seaboard of North America.
