The six 2,486-TEU Sub-Panamax Class Super 25 container ships were taken into service between 2002 and 2003. They were developed by SSW Fähr- und Spezialschiffbau GmbH in Bremerhaven in close cooperation with E.R. Schiffahrt. The Super 25 design enables them to load high-cube containers and containers of different sizes without loss of storage capacity. In addition, dangerous goods containers and a large number of reefer containers can be stowed both on deck and in the holds.
